1/1/17-1/7/17: 30 Day Photo Challenge Days 1-7
To start off the year, I wanted to continue a goal I started in mid 2016 - posting a photo a day to Instagram. To help continue this goal, I found a number of 'Photo Challenges' on Pinterest, and thought these would be a great way to get a photo a day, but also get me out of my comfort zone and shoot some things other than what I normally do. Each day for 30 days there is a different theme or topic for you to take a picture of. It's super simple - look at the topic for the day, keep an eye out for something that relates to the theme, edit, and post your picture. Boom! 30 days of pictures taken care of; sort of.
Day 1: Self Portrait
In theory, this sounds extremely simple, and some days it is. Other days, like day 4, 'something green' was challenging. It was 5-10 degrees outside, so I decided to stay in the house to keep warm. It took me about half of the day milling around the house to find something that I was my style, and green to shoot. What resulted was an interesting black and white photo of a desert plant that was given to my sister - something I would not normally take a picture of.
Day 4: Something Green
It is only day 5 of this 30 day photo challenge, ( I started on January 3rd) but I am finding that I really enjoy seeking out new things to shoot pictures of. If you are in a slump or have lost inspiration in your photography, jump on Pinterest and search 'photo challenges' and start one. It's a great way to get the creative juices flowing again!
Day 3: Clouds (Smoke)
Until next week... Keep shooting!
Day 2: What I Wore
